Mount a small SMC LED soldered onto a prototyping board (See GPIO-Switched LED) onto a Autopilot Hexagonal Panel.
Assembly
This part is intended to house a SMC LED mounted in the center of a 17.5mmx17.5mm section of prototyping board (6 x 6 holes with typical spacing) -- or, on the bottom of the red rectangle in the below image.
After making the LED board, you can affix it to the inside of either top piece (with eg. a small glob of hot glue) and clip the pieces together.
Push the clip piece through the panel to be attached to, and screw the top piece through the threads in the clip.
